Développement et caractérisation de capteurs électromagnétiques utilisant la diélectrophorèse haute fréquence pour l’isolation rapide de cellules souches cancéreuses sur puce

Abstract : A lot of technologies exist to sort biological cells, and allow great advances in cell biology research. Among these technologies, the development of microsystems for the electro-manipulation of cells by dielectrophoresis (DEP) has demonstrated great capabilities to sort cells. This work aims at demonstrating the ability of ultra-high frequencies DEP to target, sort and isolate cancerous stem cells from a population of pathological cells with differentiated phenotype. The development of a specific microsystem is proposed. The design of the cytometer is linked to the different forces acting on cells and so to determine cells‘ trajectories during the sorting enabling the controls of the sorting conditions. The work demonstrates how to target cells‘ dielectrophoretics characteristic s in the range of Ultra High Frequencies in order to separate cells based on their intrinsic intercellular dielectrics properties.
