Statistical Modeling of the Radioelectric Properties of Wireless Terminals in their environment

Résumé

The paper deals with the modeling of the statistical distribution of the effective gain of terminals, which incorporates both the characteristics of the antenna radiation pattern in use situation and those of the local propagation environment. A frequency wise and frequency correlated lognormally distributed effective gain model is proposed as standard model of wide, although not universal, validity, mainly for the sake of simplicity and ease of use. This model is tested in a few exemplary cases of measured and simulated terminals, using a subset of the WINNER channel model for the local propagation.
