Poisson point processes applied to sensors networks

Abstract : Following recent results on algebraic topology, we analyze the Gilbert random simplicial complex which arises as the Cech complex of a Poisson process. Expectations of Betti numbers are given. It turns out that the mean Euler characteristic has a surprisingly simple form.
